Our History
IN THE BEGINNING...
Beginning in the year 2000, the Porter County Easter Egg Hunt began as a way to provide a fun Easter activity for the children of Porter County while raising funds for local organizations. The event, originally held at Westside Park, was well-attended and greatly enjoyed by the community. As such it was turned into an annual event. After, a few successful years, the event was taken over by the M.O.M.S. Club of Valparaiso and has been sponsored and hosted by them ever since.
... AND NOW
Now entering it's 25th year, the Annual Porter County Easter Egg Hunt has grown into a community favorite attracting hundreds of children each year. As the event continues to grow the M.O.M.S. Club of Valparaiso has expanded the number of day-of activities, moved to a bigger location, and, most excitingly, has been able to donate thousands of dollars to local community organizations.

This year, we are looking to grow even more with additional activities, expanded hours, more food trucks, even more eggs (25,000+), prizes, Easter Bunny and character photos and so much more. Through the generous support of the community and local businesses we hope to make the 2025 egg hunt our biggest yet!
ABOUT M.O.M.S. Club of Valparaiso
We are a support group designed just for the at-home mother who is interested in the world around them, wants a variety of activities for her and her children, and is proud of their choice of at-home mothering for their families! We host weekly play groups, a variety of weekly activities (park meetups, tours, library play, reading groups, and more), monthly moms night out events, have a babysitting tree, and so much more. We are a community of moms that can laugh, cry, vent, and support each other through anything and everything!
