Please Note Anyone Wishing to Park at Sunset Hill for the Event Will Need to Purchase a Parking Voucher In Advance (One Voucher Required Per Car)*. If You Do Not Intend to Park at the Event, There Is No Cost To Attend.

* A limited number of free parking vouchers have been made available for those with financial hardships. They are available through the Center Township Trustees Office. To acquire a ticket please contact the office at 219.462.0810 to coordinate a pickup time. These tickets available while supplies last on a first come first serve basis.

Event Activities

Sensory Friendly Egg Hunt

For those guests looking for a quieter experience with a limited number of attendees, the Sensory Friendly Egg Hunt is perfect. This time will allow guests to participate in all the egg hunt activities, including an inclusive egg hunting experience, before the event is open to the general public. Guests with Sensory Friendly Tickets are welcome to stay and attend the General Admission event as well or exit before the General Admission event begins 10:30 AM.

In addition to hunting eggs this event will include face painting, Easter Bunny photos, prizes, games, character meet and greets with Bluey, Bingo and Paw Patrol's Chase, crafts, chair massages, Food Trucks, and more!

General Admission Egg Hunt

Featuring over 25,000 eggs to hunt this event is sure to be a hit for all kids ages 0 to 12. Egg hunting groups are divided by age to and will hunt at separate times (see agenda above). Please note, each group will start precisely at the published time so please plan accordingly.

1. When is the Porter County Easter Egg Hunt?
Saturday, April 5, 2025 from 9 AM to 3 PM.

3. Are tickets required for the Porter County Easter Egg Hunt?
For anyone intending to park at the venue a parking voucher will need to be purchased in advance of the event. The venue only accommodates a certain number of cars so we are requiring each car to have a parking voucher to ensure we have enough parking for all that want to participate. Each individual attendee does NOT need their own voucher. You need ONE voucher PER CAR. Cars arriving without a voucher will be turned away at the event.

If you do not intend to park a car at the venue, the event is free to attend and no vouchers/tickets are required.

Vouchers are per CAR, not per PERSON; only one voucher per car parking at Sunset Hill Farm is necessary.

​5. I need to reserve multiple tickets but the site will only allow me to reserve one. What do I do?
Ticketing is not per person; you only need ONE ticket per CAR. If you have multiple cars you are bringing to the event you will need to fill out the registration form for each car that is coming, separately.

​6. Can I get a parking voucher at the event?
No. Advance vouchers are required to ensure enough parking for all that want to attend. Only cars with vouchers reserved in advance of the egg hunt will be allowed to park at the venue.

​7. I can no longer attend. Can I get a refund?
No. There are no refunds for this event; all voucher sales are final. If you would like to transfer your ticket to someone else you can do so by emailing pceasteregghunt@gmail.com with the full name and email address of the new attendee.

​8. Is the event outdoors?
Yes. This event is being held outdoors, in early April, in Northwest Indiana - the weather may be warm and sunny or cold and snowy or rainy so please dress you and your loved ones accordingly. We cannot control the quality of the grounds at the venue so some ares may be wet or muddy depending on the weather. This event occurs rain or shine.

​​9. What happens in the event of inclement weather?
The egg hunt occurs rain, snow, or shine so please dress and plan accordingly. In the event of an emergency situation where it is deemed not safe to host the event all attendees with vouchers will be notified via the email they registered with and an update will be made on the egg hunt Facebook and Instagram pages.

​10. Will there be food/drinks at the event?
Yes. Food truck vendors will be on site and a portion of all purchases will go the charity sponsors for this year's event.

​11. Can I bring my pet to the event?
No; pets are not allowed at the event unless they are a certified service animal.

​12. Can I help my child collect eggs?
For children in the younger age groups (0-2 and 3-4), parents are able to walk with their child and provide assistance. We encourage parents to allow the children to collect their own eggs (if they are able) so the event is fair for everyone. For the older groups (5-7 and 8-12), we ask parents to remain outside the hunt field and only observe their children.

13. Will the host be providing egg collection baskets/bags?
No. Please bring your own bags/baskets to collect eggs in.

​14. Is there an age limit on the event?
The egg hunt is open to all children ages 0 to 12.

​15. Do all ages hunt together?
No. There are four hunting groups broken up by age. See the event agenda for age groups and hunt times.

​16. Who does the money and food donations raised from the online auction, donations, etc. go to?
All proceeds and food donations received from the event will be donated to our local charity partners, Gabriel's Horn Shelter for Women and Children and First Fruit Gives. To learn more about them please visit our Charity Partners Page.

18. Who hosts the egg hunt?

​21. Are you accepting vendor applications?
No. The egg hunt will not have any booths for people to sell their items nor are we asking anyone volunteering their services to pay to participate. If anyone on Facebook (or other social media) offers you a vendor application or wants to take money from you to participate in the Porter County Egg Hunt DO NOT GIVE THEM MONEY - THEY ARE SCAMMERS! ​22. What is the sensory friendly egg hunt?
The sensory egg hunt is a special hunt for children aged 0-12 with sensory issues or special needs who would benefit from a quieter, slower paced, less crowded experience. If you have questions about the sensory friendly egg hunt contact: easteregghuntmomsclub@gmail.com

​23. Can I have a child participate in the general admission egg hunt and the sensory friendly egg hunt?
Yes. Get a voucher for sensory friendly egg hunt and you will also have access to any of the general admission activities, as well. Children who wish to sign up for the sensory friendly egg hunt are welcome to participate as much or as little as they would like in the "General Admission" activities.

​24. What time should I arrive for the sensory friendly egg hunt?
If you wish to ONLY participate in the sensory friendly egg hunt and avoid the crowds attending the General Admission hunt and activities, we encourage you to arrive at 8:15 AM for parking and the hunt at 9 AM, before the general admission attendees begin arriving at 10 AM. The bunny photos, face painting, character meet & greets, etc will be available during the sensory friendly time, as well. If you wish to participate in some of the General Admission activities occurring between 10 and 3, you are welcome to stay.
